Why Cleanses Work?
I was you to imagine this: You went to a really loud concert and, when it was over, you came out and felt like you needed people to speak louder for you to hear them better. Or maybe you spoke louder yourself, and, someone who wasn't at the concerts said "Shh, no need to shout!" But to you, you weren't shouting - your ears just adjusted to that level of noise and stopped responding to the environment they way they used to before the concert. You went to sleep then, let your ears rest and re-adjust, and next day you woke up with your hearing being back to normal.
